Walking home from work one day
The sky is just beginning to gray

And I’m pacing around, it feels so odd
I look to the sky, right up at god

Thinking of all the things I could say
I kneel right down and I begin to pray

And it’s really beginning to get too late,
Nothing will get done at this rate.

But a beautiful woman appears in a ray of light
Oh my god, what a sight

She’s really tall and looked so tanned
But over all she’s really grand

I said “How did you do that, that was so neat!”
She stood there staring at her feet.

And said “I come from lands, far and wide,
I ran on the sands and rode the tide.

Would you like to join me on this night?
We can fight for all this is alright.

Travel far, over the tar.
Catching the bad guys in a car!”

The thoughts ran right over my head
My dog at home, needed to be fed.

And so I said to her. “It’s getting late.
And besides, I’m waiting for my fate.”

So I got right up, I walked right home
I’m so sick and tired of being alone

Then all the thoughts they run through my head
And I begin Thinking about all she had said

My heart sinks then, all filled with lead
And my dog is still waiting to be fed.

But he’s just gonna have to wait.
Im about to go find my date.

I run out the door and over the lawn
But it seems that the girl had already gone

And so I realized I was too late...
I had just found… and lost my fate.
