the straight, thick, mag gives it a very rugged, badass look, kinda old-timey too specially with wooden handguard.

A little strange that a blowback operated rifle would have a gas tube above the barrel.

The rifle operates on a system very similarly to the one used in the Heckler and Koch G3.

Um... in the G3, the tube above the barrel only contains an extension of the bolt carrier in which the cocking lever assembly is housed. Seeing that your cocking lever is situated above the upper receiver and the tube above your barrel is not in-line...

I never got why people love the breifcase handle on rifles.

Like the one here, and on the AR-15 and FAMAS? It has a certain aesthetic appeal to it, I think. I pay close attention to silhouettes and shapes, and it adds a very distinct look to a rifle's design and character.

Does have a good mix of the M16 and FAL in there. But with the shortened barrel it does reduce its effective range.

A majority are rifles, but I do some other types as well. A long while back I used to file them under this gallery but I kept running into frustrations trying to keep everything organized on DA so I don't any longer.

Hmm, well it would be nice to see some good variety.
Shotguns are great for those close quarter fighters who deal with heavy explosives or are the Frontman in the squad.
Could maybe use some nice Sub Machine guns for those Special Forces soldiers.
And don't forget the gunners with their heavy Light Machine Gun's as well.
