The way we had the refs done was how we saw the kaiju being done in the MLP art style, but if you look close in the 1st chapter's pic and some others, who can see the art style is slightly different and more realistically detailed when the kaiju are on Terra. This I'd say along with being a fantastic piece of art, also closely represents that Rodan would look like back on Terra
