When I first rejoined DA an awfully long time ago, it was mostly for the sake of joining Toy Store because the premise sounded so interesting and the membership looked really eclectic, and it turned out to be the starting point for quite a few friendships that mean an awful lot to me, although it seems somehow insufficient to just say so! ; ; Oh gosh but this sketch has been laying around for at least a year and suffers from a lot of problems but I really hope no one's character has been too madly misrepresented or mangledstares balefully at Emile's violin oh;;; and apologize if that's the case!! I also apologize for omissions CHOKES I tried to include mostly character encountered through roleplay, but some characters I either couldn't find references of, or otherwise failed to include through general incompetence;; Thank you for the privilege of such a wonderful, continuing experience, and for helping me become a better person! Q Q I hope everyone is feeling well, and doing well, and having a nice summer!!

it's been so long aa sannie this is so nostalgic!! looking back at this brings so many memories back! im so sad that its not around anymore but i have so many wonderful memories of this place and i'm so glad it let me meet you and sasson (I CAN SPELL HIS NAME WITHOUT THE EXTRA O NOW AMAZING). i was very young and immature back then and i'm eternally grateful you and everyone were still kind enough to befriend me, and i will never forget that.
we haven't talked in a looong time but i hope that you are doing well and you are happy! it's hard to keep in touch with everyone (im super unsociable myself) and i'm flattered and honoured you'd include blanche in this ;u;

pysanka, this is absolutely lovely!! Thank you for such a wonderful reminder of toy-store; it's definitely one of my favorite internet memories and it was a huge treat to log into DA and see this piece. I feel really inspired to draw a couple toy-store characters again! i am so honored to have been included here..... thank you, thank you, thank you!

Really loving the idea of using people's characters to form a border/ring of sorts
around your child! I'm not sure if it's just me though, but this whole piece feels a bit more
cartoony/something from a storybook than most of your other works? It's a nice look though!

aa a I suspect that's a mixture of old sketch and Toy Store palette, maybe! Toy Store had a really saturated aesthetic overall that's really out of my comfort zone, but it'd be too unfortunate not to give it a shot!! (/ \) hhh h And I'm really pleased the border was effective! I really love seeing drawings that reflect the nature of character relationships and hope to improve enough to try harder in the future!
