If you've never played shotgun heavy before then I highly suggest you try it out!Shotgun Heavy is basically a mobile tank in comparison to the standard minigun heavy.
upsides
[] You have more mobility and can run faster than if you had your primary
[] You're instantly ready to fire and require no spin-up time which means no sound either
[] The shotgun is one of the best stock weapons in TF2 and deals massive damage up close
[] You still have 300 HP and can go solo most battlesΒ
downsides
[] You deal less damage and spread than your minigun - thus lower "crowd control"
[] You're only given 6 shots and must constantly reload after every fight
[] Shotgun replaces your Sandvich which means you're not a proper medic buddy
[] "Silent" upside is removed if you're using the Tomislav

I barely play heavy xD
but yeah i agree that shotgun is one of the best stock weapons
work pretty well with the KGB
and if you play engy i'll think it's better then frontier justice
anyway amazing pic especially the lightning ^^

Yeah, The frontier justice is only useful if you're using mini sentries or after your main sentry is destroyed and by that point it's almost not worth it.

I'd say especially with mini-sentry you should use the stock sentry. The mini-sentry might get down quickly but you can be more effective if you use it as distraction while you make many shotgun kills
