If you need help calculating, here's an easy way to find 40 % of anything:
Multiply the adopt price by 0.4, pay that amount to me.
Eg:
an adopt costs 100 pts. 100*0.4 = 40. Pay 40 pts to me ^^

Normally, when I think of a corrupted Gemlet, I think of a Gemlet with its mirror on its entire body and a cracked gem, but this is neat, too! (And considering it's your species now, I guess you have control over what you can do.)
