I heard a rumor of some sort about how Eric Idle was going to play Doctor Who in a Spielberg directed movie, coming out around... I think it was... 1991.Never happened.
Still, it inspired me to draw this. Eric in the costume of the 8th Doctor, since that doctor was out in the 90s and was only in a movie.
Done in acrylic paints. Gotta love those paints

True story. He was all set to be Doctor Who, but it never happened. Shame, really- I think he'd've been an awesome Doctor!

This is the first time I have ever seen a member of the Pythons as the Doctor. I have to say I think this is very good, casting Eric in a part that would be suited to his work and style.
