I like the idea of the skin peeling away to reveal the tiger underneath.

The fingers from knuckles down are actual tiger digits that blended in with layer masks and a couple of adjustment layers. Had to clone out the human fingertips a bit so they wouldn't show underneath. The claws came with the fingers, I just pointed them a bit more with smudge

I think you should try doing what Toledo-the-Horse did. Things we're more understandable, and it showed how to exactly do it. Not saying your tutorial was bad it just needed room for improvement.

Well, Toledo did a multi-hour video tutorial, and I did a quick overview of layer masks for you that I put together in about 20 minutes. Not really comparable, there.
Though, I HAVE been intending to do a video tutorial at some point, now that I have a better computer. I'll do some testing to figure out a good setup for recording, and maybe do that over the weekend if I have the time.
