I've been debating for a while whether or not to bother with a deviant art account, ultimately I decided it couldn't hurt much plus I don't mind having a place to organize any drawings I do make. This specific drawing is, i suppose, the first page of a "comic" I've had in mind for the longest time. Though I haven't gotten past the first page because when I finish I think to myself "this looks bad because xyz, I could probably do better if I just waited." This really just leads to me scrapping it. Anyway. not entirely sure how this site operates as of yet but I suppose for now i'll try to use it as an online storage for the drawings I make. The way I see it, if I can convince myself to upload it here, then i'm less likely to convince my self to just delete it.Related content

I like the work you've done on the clothing here. ^^
It's easy to feel as though we can do better or our work sucks because of this or that, but I think ultimately our work is a great indicator of how much we grow over time. Being proud of something one minute and seeing where you went wrong in it later on when you've gotten even better. It's good to to see how far you've come. We're our worst critics, but don't be too hard on yourself and keep working at it. :3

Thanks for taking the time to leave a comment! I saw your other messages on some of my other post and i'd also like to thank you for the critiques and tips. Also while I still do get an urge to just toss away a drawing I don't like, i've learned that a lot of people have this issue and a lot of the artist I see as being better than me seem to all have a point where their older work line up with my current skill level. My point being that I more than agree with the statement that "ultimately our work is a great indicator of how much we grow over time." and that "we're our worst critics."

I used to go back over my old works a lot. Hell, I still have most of the things I've done since I started drawing. Only now when I feel nostalgic, I can't seem to bring myself to go through them all. They're a great indicator of how far I've come, but I'm also hideously ashamed of those old pieces! ^^ Still, throwing out something you put a piece of yourself into is like throwing away bits of your soul. I think I'd rather hold onto them a bit longer. I'd rather have something I can look back on with a tinge of shame and pride than regret throwing them out. I'd hate to see anyone with that regret!
Keep working hard and you'll get even better. But don't do it to get popular or anything--do it for you. Because you love it and it means something. I feel like you improve faster when it's just for you. At least, that's how it worked out for me.

Good idea you have and nice drawing especially if that's the first page of your comic and comic book cover I love it Like you mentioned Deviant art is a good place to try especially when your trying too get noticed...Great job and keep up the good work!
