Description

The dirt almost crumbles under Mira’s toes, already blanketed in a layer of soft, wet leaves. It’s nice, a refreshing feeling from the hard ground that had taken her to this place. A gentle breeze ruffles the tips of her fur, barely misting it. The air is warm here, and the heat seeps into her skin, creating a blooming effect from the inside out. Mira walks on, feeling the light rays of sunlight dancing over her and the forest ground below. It’s not her patch of forest, but it will do. She’s surprisingly serene, even for a somewhat jaded Esk as herself. Even so, a twinge of uneasiness lurks at the back of her mind, one of the strongest remains from her retched former life. She feels the tree’s ages as she does her own, and the old-ness of it all fills her with an immense sense of understanding. She tries to pinpoint what is unsettling her about this serene, beautiful place. Maybe it was the lack of animal noise, but no, she could her a bird’s call in the distance. With a faint, visible shiver, she tries to shake off the feeling and continue exploring this kind place. After all, there seems to be no reason to rush.
