i wouldn't be surprised if you could make a living just making masks of this quality, How much does one of your mask usually sell for?

these are beautiful. How do the jaws work? Is there a need to tape it to part of the wearers face to have it move?

No - The jaw is just a simple hinge, and it's held shut with elastic. The wearer's chin pushes the mouth open.

I cast those out of the same resin that I use for the masks. However, you could probably cut something similar out of sheet plastic.

I get the blank glass from a taxidermy supplier. I painted all of the ones in this photo myself, but I also frequently enough get pre-painted eyes.

T-T I envy you! lol wish I had the time and money to do this sort of stuff. Still working on getting supplies together lol (Job hunting is a pain lol) Question! What are you using for the hinges for the jaws? I can kinda see what your using, think you could take a pic of what they look like up close? Also, haha me and all my questions ^_^, how do you hide the pointy-ness of the hinges? like if you were doing a animal that had short fur? Thanks again for reading lol and uploading this pic while finding time in your busy schedual! I love seeing these types of photos!!! -bows- WE AREN'T WORTHY! lol!!!

I cast my hinges in the same resin as the masks. I'll try to get a photo of them at some point.
If I need to hide the pointyness of the edges, I usually either grind them down with a dremel sander, sculpt over them with epoxy putty, or a combination of both.

I wanted to ask you. I know there's a thickener for the Rebound. But is there any way I can buy it without having to buy the kit?

Thi-Vex is what you want to use. It's sold in amounts as small as 1 oz., and is very cheap. A little goes a looooong way

I've been wanting to get some thivex, but haven't been able to find any that's just the thivex itself. I find it in their kits, but so far never alone.
