I feel sorry for both her and Celestia. Banishing her own sister, even to save Equestria from eternal darkness, had to have been hard. And one thousand years in the moon sucks for anyone.

I feel the same. While Luna's fate sucked, Celestia didn't really have a good choice. She just had to make the right one.
