Description
Trying to combine some of the things Polardarkness has been explaining. I wanted to do a drawing with a line of action and some perspective to it. I don't think I did awful but I can still see a lot of improvement is needed here.Firstly I need to do better at picking my vanishing points. I have the lines in for one of them, which would have served me better had it been in the bottom right corner instead. I totally left out the second vanishing point and sort of guessed at that dimension.
I stayed fairly true to the line of action. The line did have a much more dramatic curve to it than the pose I did. I think when I marked in his chest and head the hip ended up at the wrong point so curving his legs as I originally intended looked unnatural. Both with the perspective and the line of action shows that I need to plan my drawings out a little better.
The foreshortening I'm pretty happy with. His arms and hands look to be about where I wanted them. Though the middle fingers on his near hand are a bit crooked. There's some other anatomical points that I think could use some work as well. All in all not a bad learning and practice piece.
