Description I was almost dead when I finished it.
So, adult Fitz and Nighteyes from "The Farseer Trilogy" by Robin Hobb.

По-моему я наврал с фактами касаемо внешнего вида Фитца. (Про волка вообще молчу). Не помню где был шрам, да и сломанный нос как-то не так кажется нарисовал. Ну ладно. Главное, вообще сдюжил.

So what is the trilogy about?

qess-sie In reply to CancerTheCrab [2011-06-24 10:29:22 +0000 UTC]

Well... It's about the life of king's bastard, who firstly was royal assassin, but then, when another king unlawfully heired the throne, became an exile, and forcedly tried to help real king and queen return their kingdom. There were some other problems too, but it's too complicated to tell about them in two words.

Yay, thank you.
I was quite depressed, when i discovered there are not so many illustrations of her books here, on DA. It even looks strange. So, totally agree with you.

But I guess that thats kind of a good thing, so they don't get tainted with things like fanfics

There are some video tributes though. Like this one [link]

Oh yeah, it's an indisputable plus. (Guess we're quite like-minded persons concerning fanfics)

Wow. My respect to the author.

Yeah, that and Hobb has said she doesn't want anyone doing them. I like how fans of the books are kind of rare to find, but when you do it's a great thing.

Anddd you just inspired me to read them again

qess-sie In reply to PixieSabre [2011-06-19 19:27:04 +0000 UTC]

Yes-yes, that's really nice. Sometimes there's a need to discuss a book, cause you like it, but you don't have anyone near you who've read it too. So it's twice great.

Yay xD
I cannot find anything except "The Farseers" in Russian =/ It's unfair. And there are no books in English too.

Oh yeah, I love discussing books As long as you have read them - otherwise accidental spoilers can happen xD!

Wait, so you haven't read them all?! You must D: The third trilogy is definately the best. Though the Liveship Traders is good too...
Are they not on Amazon? o:

Yes, spoilers are no good at all. But sometimes there's a chance to tell about some book just to intrigue your friend more.

Btw, have you read her books of other series?
There's some problems with payment (cause I don't have a Visa or smth alike) and with delivery. And there's also I kind of excitement to find a book yourself.

Ahh right, yeah.
I know that excitement! I searched and searched for Assassin's Quest in my local library, could not find it D: I was really frustrated because I had just finished Royal Assassin that day and wanted the next book... But just out of chance I went to an Oxfam book shop straight after and found it right there on the shelf.

Nope, I haven't read the Rain Wild Chronicals (other than the Liveship) :/ or Dragon Keeper. Have you? Im not sure that anything can beat Fitz and the Fool.

It's like a modern hunt.

No, I haven't read 'em too. I've just seen a book from trilogy Soldier Son. (If I'm not mistaken) Well, anyway, I think it'll be nice to read it too, until I find Liveship and Tawny Man.

You really should find Liveship! And Tawny Man is the better of the three trilogies ;_;
