I'm slightly confused.
If we don't delete the "extras" -- like the eyes, the blush, the mouth, etc.. do we leave them there? If so, what do we select? Just the face and edit the face from there, leaving the other parts (the irses, the blush, the insides of the mouth) as is?
I'm sorry if my question is a little confusing. I'm trying to do this for the first time and don't want to get far only to realize I've made a mistake at that point..

Deleting the extra facials is optional because you will need to put them back again.
Yes, the first part you need to edit is the face. You can choose to edit the extra facials along with the face but I chose not to because editing it is often very messy and I wouldn't want to mess up the eyelashes. You have to include the whites of the eyes and the mouth when editing the face because they are closely connected to its vertexes.
The next part of the tutorial tackles on resolving the issues of the facials and expressions such as the blush.
