Description
Hey thereSo there it is: My very first pic in Photoshop!
I usually don't draw with colors, in fact up to now I only did sketches with the pen but I finally got motivated to get into colored paintings!
That is one of the reasons, why lighting or colorchoice are horrible but I hope to improve soon =^^=
I got great tips from really nice friends and streamers such as the amazing
JohnSilvaArt www.twitch.tv/johnsilvaart
MadeleineInk www.twitch.tv/madeleineink
ZumiDraws www.twitch.tv/zumidraws
Thank you!
About the character: This is Q'nqura the godess of the amazones in Settlers 3, a game I used to play when I was still a child. I always liked her and was really sad to find practically no artwork of her, so I decided to make one on my own ^^.
I had a really strict reference (one light source, clothes and hairdo) but it was also not really helping a lot, because the original is all comic style and sometimes I just didn't knew how to change it into the drawing-style I wanted... But I am quite happy, even though I see many mistakes- I think it's okay for the first
Later in this vid you can see Q'nqura as original ^^ www.youtube.com/watch?v=FEqji8…
I hope some people will like it
Have a nice day!

Firstly I want to iterate that your color choice is fantastic. The violets are so vivid, and harmonize with the red hair really well! You've done a fantastic job of shading the gold pieces, they have just the right touch of saturation. The lighting is also very good. Your light direction is easily recognizable, and shading beautiful. Your anatomy is on point, and accentuates your figure well. The only really noticeable flaw in this piece is her feet actually. They're out of proportion with the rest of her body. It is wise to remember that the size of your forearm is the size of your foot. I hope that helps you in your next piece. What I really love about this piece is how delicate your brushstrokes are. The soft rendering of light and color creates this kind of simplistic workflow that brings the entire piece together. It is uniquely your own. This is a wonderful work of art. I truly love it. Fantastic job. Keep it up!

Everyone has something they need to work on, the trick about painting is no one knows about the awesome piece in your head that you were trying to create, only the piece that came out. Some people will genuinely like the piece that came out, I know I do. You have a lot to learn, we all do, but you're so strong already. You're gonna do great things, I know it. I'm happy to watch your progress. Cheers.
