If you want to achieve very realistic and detailed results Octane or Reality is a must. I have both but in my opinion Octane is easier and much faster in use which makes it currently my basic rendering engine for Poser.
Firefly engine is unbiased renderer which means it doesn't produce physically accurate results but just pretends real world lighting effects.
In my renders done with Firefly engine I pushed it to the limits with a lot of effort and lighting tests. When I started to use Octane I saw a big difference between physical accuracy of biased renderer and unbiased Firefly engine.
Something You could achieve easily with Octane or Reality is simply impossible for Firefly no matter the time and effort You put in it.

I believe the bloodshot portion is over saturated, but the clarity of the lighting equipment as reflected on the iris is extremely good. Not that the bloodshot portion shouldn't be there. The gradient isn't as natural as it could be. Tip of the chin is also in the same focal pane as the top of the shoulder, but the shoulder top has a softer line. Maybe it's there as an improvement to draw attention toward the face instead of the shoulder, an adaptation the lens cannot make on its own. Getting back to the irises, it seems the spot flash highlighted appears in different places in each eye, which makes the eye lenses appear asymmetrical. Model got thrombosis from jet-setting around the Mediterranean or something.

The eyes nail it for me. Very nice lighting too. Is it OK to ask you what lights you use?
