Description
I was getting ready to call it day when i noticed this Book by Chris Bachalo, SteamPunk on my shelf. After flipping through the book I realised how inspired I am by his art. He's this guy who can practically draw anything from any angle. Dynamism is is forte and that's something I'm aiming to achieve in my art in due time.Again a simple sketch ending up with me spending another extra hour on it coz it's so cool to play around with zipatones and some gradient blur on another layer of the scanned pencils. Trust me... it's fun adding layers upon layers of ziptones over a quick sketch. I normally spend about 15 to 20 mins on my sketch. But when it come to PS, i'm a snail... i'm trying, i'm trying to good. For those who's been following my progress on zipatones I'm sure you can see improvements.... err... i hope.
What I'm trying to achieve is something that's away from traditional manga technique, where they normally place the films over the artwork and touch up using whites. I'm hoping to blend in a little bit more than that... like maybe dif shades of whites, like a painting or something that's put converted to grayscale....
Hope you guys like this new approach to zipatones...

I dig Bachalo's work too. Noticed his work after Maduriera left Uncanny X-Men in the late 90s if I remember right.
Very cool piece you have here though.

This is just too cool! When I first saw it I immediately thought Team Fortress 2, somehow I think the way you drew it matches the art style there using in the game.
Great job!

Now, that's a word of confidence for me. Thanks a bundle, man. Though I still want to collaborate more with ya in the future. Mercy is a project that does not do justice to your colors. I'm sure there are more stuff we can work on in the future... Take care, man...
