Disclaimer: One Piece and Ace do not belong to me.The story is that Ace decided to steal and wear Smoker's clothes just to piss him off. Yes, he knows this is a Very Stupid Way to piss off People Who Can Kick His Ass. He doesn't care, because annoying Smoker is the kind of pleasure you just can't skip. xD
This stage is what you get when you take this sketch [link] and add 24 hours. (There was so much clean-up involved. Holy crap. Both arms and one leg had to be drastically fixed, the hands were filled out, face widened, ear raised, and -- most important -- expression fixed. He now looks much more like himself.
)(Incidentally, on a non-visible layer of this image, I tried what I have heard suggested many times: I drew out the naked anatomy. OMG THIS WAS SO USEFUL! (Fun too. XD) I had the coat too far out and too blocky until I did this step. Once I knew where the arms, hands, wrists, legs, "package" XD, etc. were, I could drape the clothes over them realistically. It was awesome.)
