One Piece is my new obsession. I'm partially stealing a friend's line here, but I've never watched a show that combined such hilarity with the ability to make me cry on a regular basis. In particular, I just came to the Bellemere episode(s) and am in LOVE.

Therefore this picture is a tribute to Bellemere. I'll skip the spoilers (in case you aren't a One Piece fan), but a woman this wonderful and awesome should have some art dedicated to her. Since I couldn't find much, I've made some of my own.

This was a LOT of fun to draw. Yes, the style is kind of sketchy, but that's just MY style. Done entirely in Photoshop 7 with my tablet. I used a lot of reference shots for facial structure and hair/skin coloring, but who doesn't?

BTW, I tried this painting tutorial for the coloring -- [link] -- and I am in LOVE with the technique.
