Description
Elfquest was the first comic book I ever read, and Elfquest fanart was some of the first relatively decent artwork I ever did. It's been more than a decade since I even read the books, and I decided to revisit them for the challenges I periodically participate in. I didn't let myself look at the characters until I finished the piece, so some details are off, but the fact that all of the characters are recognisable shows what an impression the series made on me. I need to hunt down copies and reread them.

Aside from a simple line drawing this is all digital. The moon texture was made from a photograph of a mossy stone temple that I had taken about a year back, and the background sky is a photo of a cloudy sky all photoshoppified. I meant to get more detaild textures on clothing and such as well, but I spent a good week and a half on this and I was starting to get tired of looking at it.
