Description For who is a fan of the closed cab Model T's like me!

This is a 1926 Ford model TT truck, it has a Ruxtle 2 speed rear axle and may even run still, I found it while I was out exploring with my dad in 2008, and I am trying to buy it to restore!

I want this truck bad!

EDIT: I now am the proud owner of this truck! Restoration should start in the summer of 2010

I thought as long as we credited the original and linked back it was fine to use? I did.Β  But if I misunderstood- I will take it down.Β Β

Believe it or not, it actually does!

Hopefully my dad and I will be able to restore it soon, it should be a fairly easy project, and a lot of fun!

QuanticChaos1000 In reply to jeepdork [2010-01-21 22:06:37 +0000 UTC]

Thanks!

It should run, I went through it and everything is good to go, I just need to re-install the coils and hook up a fuel source!

I have the truck at my house now, safe and sound, and I have been collecting all sorts of accessories and parts for the build, I hope to start on it this summer! (Full restoration)

Where I am the model T's are usually no more then a bare frame and some rusted byend recognition bits of steel, so finding this drivable example that is only missing it's windows is a big deal for me! It's going to be a lot of fun restoring this thing back to stock!

I also have a 26 T roadster body, a couple of Touring bodies, and I recently got a 1928 Model A Roadster pick-up cab, combined with the 28 frame, and short box I already have I can make a nice little hot rod out of it!

QuanticChaos1000 In reply to ahhhscary [2010-01-25 20:26:34 +0000 UTC]

Usually just bits and pieces of T's and A's.

It's too bad too, there were so many gorgeous cars and lorries out your way that I would love to see on the road still, but the stricter scrappage laws and vehicle inspections did away with the majority...

I have a pair of 1959 German Ford Taunus's that I desperately need parts for, and due to the crazy German scrappage laws I will likely never find what I need there, I will probably have to make everything I need for them... on CarDomain: [link]

that would be great to get that thing and get it done. I'm currently dealing on a 49 ford truck that is on a 6 inch lift. not all original, but a neat looking ride, it is nicknamed goliath, i hope i get it. and possibly a model A that has been in a garage for about 60 years. waiting on a call on it.

bjsimmers In reply to bjsimmers [2008-04-30 15:08:53 +0000 UTC]

I've wanted the 49 truck for a long time, it is a true peice of work. it needs some tlc, but back when it was first done, the thing was a sight to see rolling down the road. the A, I'd like to have just to paint back up and put in the showroom of our building, since it was originally a Ford dealership built around 1922.

That's a great find; any idea how long it's been sitting idle?

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

QuanticChaos1000 In reply to sockrotter [2008-04-18 05:02:51 +0000 UTC]

The owner says he drove it in a local parade recently, told me how it was painted up for it too, so I looked at it close and there are murals covering every square inch of it, and they are all of things from the late 40's! (lil' abner ect.) so I figure it's been in this spot since the early 50's at least!

Man I hope he sells it to me!

I thought so, too bad kids broke the windows out, but beyond that and surface rust (witch is removed like paint when you sand it down) it is really good!
