Description
Yep, now we have the one that started the SD70 sprite, my SD70ACe sprite, as this was made first. The EMD SD70ACe and subsequent variants are currently being produced under EMD which is now owned by Caterpiller. The SD70ACe is in service with Union Pacific, CSX, NS, CP, CN and BNSF, among other railroads. The SD70ACe has had older locomotives rebuilt to it's standards; like the ex-UP SD90MACs rebuilt as SD70ACUs, other railroads such as the Canadian Pacific have SD70ACUs rostered in service, the SD70ACC is a product of Norfolk Southern's DC-to-AC programme as they get completely re-tractioned from the DC Traction Equipment they were originally built with and replaced with AC Traction Equipment.
