Description
The United Earth Meteorite Class is a Frigate designed to sustain a higher warp speed than it's original basis. The Meteorite Class is a hybrid between a Powhatan Class and a Comet Class, and as such is abit more versatle than it's former basis. The Meteorite Class can achieve a sustainable Warp 4.7 and a maximum Warp of 5.24 for 30 minutes. Only 38 Meteorites were built or rebuilt from Powhatan Classes and it's derivatives. When the UFP officially came into being, the Meteorite Class was re-classified as a Patrol Frigate, and or a PT Scout in some cases, and were reliveried into a 'UFP' scheme. The Meteorite Class eventually fell out of service as better and more advanced Frigates came into service, but some were kept as they could be converted to house Worker-Bees when being used to construct a new station.
