Yep there are people. I've seen a few videos on YouTube. I honestly can't figure out how they can do it. I even saw a video were Shep shoots Kaidan to get to Udina.

Agreed, the only way I was able to NOT romance him in the first game, was to just start a ME2 game and use the Genesis DLC to pick not romancing him.
