I've seen a whole bunch of this Drizzt fellow, and recall finding an official-looking site about him, but I've since looked and failed to re-find it.
You wouldn't perhaps know if a) Drizzt here is a published / "official" character, or an "un-official" one (say, someone's WoW char.) and b) if he is an 'official' one, where is he from?

Yes Drizzt is one of the main characters in R.A. Salvatore's bestselling novels written in the Forgotten Realms campaign setting developed by the makers of Dungeons and Dragons. He has a huge fan base as he has appeared in about fifteen books.

You know if you happen to like reading fantasy I would recommend the Dark Elf Trilogy By Salvatore. It has the three books Homeland, Exile and Sojourn. They are truly stunning and it may just make a Drizzt fan out of you.
