The latest addition to the Gothic Fall series. It came out ok, but not quite as well as I wanted. I think I still need a lot of practice with integration of detail into the large scale cg pieces. Practising drawing dresses too. The costume is based on a ballgown outfit that I have. (I'll hopefully have a photo of it soon)
Started sketching this last night. The photoshop cg took about 10 or 12 hours. Hope you people like

omg this pic makes me wana cry! its so full of emotion, it's absolutely gorgeous. her face shape is slightly strange and i feel it's a tiny bit small as well, or maybe it's her neck that's a little too large. her boots are beautiful, and one of my close friends has boots just like that! i'd leave a better comment but i have to go

I agree that her head is a little too small in general, its a problem I have quite often. I think I'm slowly getting the hang of the proportions now. The problem is when I make the hair so big there is a tendency to make the head small..... ah well never mind. I'm really glad that you like the image

wheee, the boots rock! and yeah, i know what you mean about making the heads too small, i do that a lot as well.

it's lovely.. just the neck head corrilation seems off on the size of one of them...i think th neck may be to thick or short..other wise it's lovely (i notice this neck head thing in a few other peices, just thought I would mention it)

Hmm, I think it might be the shape of the chin - there's something that bugs me about the shape of the face in general in this one.... :S

I like the details on her outfit and melancholic atmosphere. The background looks very good too, though the plants on the right seem to be a bit floating.

I wish I could concentrate for as long as you can when drawing - everything I do takes weeks because I can only do a half hour at a time. This one is another fantastic melancholy scene...I really like. Just want to reach in and give her a hug...
