They are hard to draw, indeed. And they're even harder when you have a limited amount of pixels to draw them with!

I'd say so; even though it's much more minuscule than other types of art, it takes even more effort, as each pixel has to be laid out one-by-one, and then there's shading, texture, effects, and the like. But there are some really great pixel art tutorials around the site, if you look.
