This photo is very interesting. I love the natural feel it has to it; the scene with the children, and the surroundings is very unusual, yet captivating.
I have a few suggestions though. What I would have suggested for a photo like this is maybe instead of a high contrast, it may have looked better with a lower one. It looks like you shot this in pretty broad daylight, so some areas may be a tad over exposed as it is, but increasing the contrast can also do that. But I suggest a lower one for a more nostalgic feel. it may have been a little more fitting with the scene.
My other suggestion would be that you put a watermark on your photo (besides the DA one) I say this because the faces of the children are so very precious, and having the DA watermark in the center slightly takes away from overall impact.
Besides that though, great photo, and kudos for being original!

I just admire this for the smiles. If there is anything more innocent than a child, it's their smiles. I can she they might be living a rough and not so luxurious life as many wish to be and have. But one thing that a child that is spoiled in luxury or material, does not have an innocent smile. A smile that does not show that they are happy. Here, I see true happiness in her eyes.

This is really a lovely picture....My favorite part is how the tree in the background seems to grow out of the child's ponytail!
I think if I were to redo it, I would take the photo when they didn't realize it. Otherwise, the picture is great. I love the complimentary red/green hues...and the gold-yellow between them is really nice, I think
