Hi all! Hope you've been doing great~ I was absent for a long period this time... I hope it won't happen again but it's always the same for that period of the year Expect me to be active again starting today, exams are finished and I got, more free time!Anyway, have a sketch of Storm celebrating her country's National Day~
I used to do a fanart of it [2016] [2017] but now got more confident in doing this kind of pieces with my own characters-

I really like how you decided to draw your own character for the holiday, instead of nyotalia's sweden. I mean there was nothing wrong with the fanart, of course, but since you've got an oc from sweden, why not draw her instead? it might give you a little more creative room too, since I imagine storm's quite different from nyotalia sweden. I like the bright, cheerful simplicity of the piece; I don't mean to say it's plain, since it's not, but sometimes simple can go a long way. and storm seems like the type to not want a lot going on, so it all works together. if that made sense lol. I also like the flower crown she's wearing and the blue-and-white top she has on instead of her usual dress. nothing wrong with the usual, but it's nice to give the characters different clothes from time to time
also, in spite of you not doing a fanart this year, I can still see the improvement in your drawings yet again. it's been pretty awesome seeing the various pictures you draw and the ways you improve on each one. I'm definitely looking forward to seeing your "year in art" meme thing at the end of the year, as well as what you end up doing next year for the swedish national day

I really wanted to draw Storm with a theme related to her country, on the other hand it was a bit difficult to add my own 'interpretation' of a character in a fanart (in this case, nyotalia Sweden) without feeling like I drew them out of character.
It was the perfect occasion to merge both ideas and get a nice drawing, while having more fanarts to do for practice (the Nico chibi was one of those)
Strom has this simplistic image and I always think it's ruined every time I doodle her ahaha, I'm really glad to know that it's not the case ^^
If I was saying the previous years that my style is inconsistent, I don't know what to say now

And you did not think to try to create a series of drawings about the countries of the world? you have very cool characters, and if you combine them with the flags of different countries - it could come out cool)
