My competition entry for the Metroid-Club's "New Boss"Here is a link to the competition gallery: [link]
I've named it Tsetse which is the word for a type of biting fly. "...They live by feeding on the blood of vertebrate animals" Wikipedia
When a Tsetse feels threatened it opens its wings and releases a swarm of smaller Tsetse like insects from its orange back. This diversion gives the the large Tsetse an attack opportunity.

Thanks a lot. I think keeping the line drawing over top kept the sketchiness of it and gave it a more energetic quality. I always try to be as perfect as I can with my art but this time I decided to just let loose a little.
