That's a funny question I'll answer. As I'll usually say, I only illustrate things from Matterspace, and once in a blue moon I'll do otherwise. When I do draw something else I am often forced to do so. This means that when I illustrate or doodle I'm either trying to conceptualize Matterspace, or under orders. Now this particular creature spawned from an assignment in class where the teacher basically told us to not think of anything and draw a creature. So with no preconception and no real restriction besides remaining unrestricted I was free to just let my emotions, thoughts, and wants flow into the picture. I found I liked that very much and the pictures contained increasing emotion as I did more.
In summary: These creatures and their design is inspired and illustrated by how I felt drawing it.

This one in particular, I remember admiring many of the pretty girls I had around that semester and while drawing feeling quite drunk off their memory. At the same time period I was attempting to be very deliberate about my approach of these women.

For the Worm, I was praised for the KangarooGirl and my actions were getting me places with those same girls. The high was so good it led me to make another even though it wasn't necessary. I was very confident and excited. I'm sure that's why that picture almost carries a Predatory feel, and why Kangaroo girl has more of a whimsical feel.

With the latest frog-tongue, It was made for Splice contest, which had the same "No Restriction" restriction. While making it I was on a Woman-hating phase and felt that they dominated my penis and there was nothing I could do. (This is looking back and examining, while making the picture I remember complaining to Eric about how grotesque it was getting unintentionally)
Also on that note, I knew what to expect going into a picture like that, even though I had no idea what would come out. I think it's pretty safe to say that I need direction otherwise i'll illustrate my frustrations.
