Because I suck at drawing him.I guess that's why, even though I normally don't take requests, I've been open to Edd suggestions 'cause I really need the practice.

I never drew him all that much 'cause he's admittedly not my fave character (although my friend Dani made me like him more) but the fandom kinda over-draws him. However, I figure I can use the practice.
Ironically I use Edd as references for Rolf 'cause they're frighteningly similar albeit noticeable differences. I never struggle with Rolf. Edd is always hit or miss. *shrugs* (It's either the hat or the teeth that drives me nuts. Sometimes I can make the gap tooth look cute, but most times it just looks ugly and awkward. The hat shape, mainly the direction of the ''tail'' always bugs me. I always end up redrawing his hat ten times before I'm satisfied.)

He's actually not my favourite character. Don't get me wrong, I like him well enough, but the Eds work best as a group than individually~
I'm just trying to practice him more because in all the three years of being in the fandom, I barely ever drew him.

Actually, he's flawed, just like the rest of the cast, but that's what makes him more interesting. But it's the perfectionism that makes him annoying sometimes. NJ type thing.

Also these are for SpongeBob but you might find these helpful. This storyboard artist gives you some tips on how to push poses, etc. I think it can work for any type of cartooning though, esp. EEnE. Same principals apply so take a look:

I dunno, I wish my style looked more accurate but it does look slightly better than it did back in the day. Just needs more polishing.
I dunno if I can offer any tips, I'm no good at explaining, just study the show and use lots of ref's until you get confident enough to free hand. Don't trace. Just look at the model sheets (they're all over the Wiki) and study the characters frame by frame. Redraw screencaps. Soon you won't have to use ref's. That's the way I learned, it's all self taught. I don't think there's an effective Antonucci Style Tutorial out there. It's something that can easily be learned though. My first attempts were awful. So it just takes practice.

I'd suggest some over-the-top expressions and body positions if you're okay with that. Like, really over the top.
