Sheridan is one of those people who is just absolutely wonderful to talk to, she's bright and kind and funny. I've been photographing her since she was 17 (that was in 2013!), and before I met her, I wasn't sure what to think of her. A designer wanted to use her for our shoot, but I hadn't worked with her before, and she was so young, and I just wasn't sure she could pull it off. This all seems absolutely hilarious and ridiculous now, because if you know anything about Sheridan, you know she can pull off anything. During our first shoot, we became fast friends and I haven't stopped photographing her since. This is a series she asked me to do for her with the idea that it was a bit like a Calvin Klein ad, but mostly because she's working on what most people end up working on at some point in their lives: loving the bodies they're in. We left the shots unretouched. except for a quick b&w conversion in Lightroom.
