I have been meaning to incorporate illustrations in an editorial for a very long time, but everything I had made seemed to complicated or I didn't have enough time or a good enough concept for it. Then came this series! It had a great 50s flare, but it lacked a little whimsy in my eyes. I loved the daisy jewelry we used throughout the editorial though, and I have a fairly large collection of them myself, so I decided daisies were the perfect addition! All of the daisies were drawn with a tablet referencing vintage 50s and 60s daisy pins, earrings, etc. I don't even want to discuss how long this series took to put together with the retouching, drawing, and designing in it, but I'd like to think they were worth it"Miss Daisy" for Coco Indie

I admire this composition very much. The colours, the style. I just adore vintage style, so I admit this is a personal taste of mine. It is always a pleasure to see something with class as well as natural beauty.
The close up technique, paired with the lighting you have chosen, is good because it allows us to focus on the model. I really like the simplicity. The lighting is nice and simple too. We can see her properly, and it's not over or undersaturated.
It's like we can see her in real life, standing before us.
