In January, I wanted to make something for Spring, because I was super excited about everything blooming! Ironically, I ended up deciding to shoot this in studio, so I could use the new blue seamless paper I bought second-hand. This was also my first shoot with two lights, which I don't believe I'll ever get tired of! I definitely learned how best to get what I wanted out of it in this shoot, although certainly not all at once! The concept memo was pale with bright but soft bits of color, messy hair, and classic but luminous makeup. I'm really happy with how it turned out, hope you enjoy it!Β

It is the way her head is positioned that I like the best out of this, just the sort of pose I like. There is a reflective, almost sombre aspect to her in this one, almost as if you took a sneaky shot in while she was away with the pixies or something. I 135mm or something, framed right in on her upper shoulders, perhaps even a monochrome conversion and my delight would be unbound.
This series just gets better and better.

Yeah well if you have learned anything about me in our brief interactions, you will know sombre is right up my alley. My drawing hand is really itching after this series, just gotta find the time (and still need to finish the other one of yours I started)
