I'm happy with how Ren and her water tank turned out, but I really wish I could change Lux and his system recharger. They look nothing at all how I wanted.Colored pencils and watercolor on watercolor paper.
UPDATE: I reduced the saturation on Lux. I think it looks a little better now.

Nice. I like the cool, soothing color choices in Ren's tank! But yeah, like you said, Ren's not blending in with the background. Still, very cool!

I'm not 100% on my color theory, but it seems like Ren's blue colors are intended to make her stand out from a grayish background. She's meant to be the focus on the piece, but she's being "overpowered" by the vivid purples of Lux. Does that make sense?

Yes, his strong warm colors make him stick out too much. Maybe I could desaturate him a bit in Photoshop to reduce him a bit.

Oh! How nice. The blue tank looks great, and her expression is wonderful. Very relaxed. At first I didn't know where Lux was, upon looking a bit closer, I did.
