I had a Mother's Day pic in the works but it wasn't ready in time, so this is what you get instead.This is Eva and Rick as they looked ten years before the Great Race of Oban. They didn't meet at that time but I'm sure they would have formed a strong bond even then. I think of their relationship as like very close siblings. The idea of romance between them gives me some squicky vibes of wrongness. Not to mention the age gap, she was five when he was, like, twenty! Rick's too cool to be a pedophile!

Before I heard him say that he met Don Wei I was assuming he was Don's son since they had a parent-son thing going on and Eva and he acted like brother and sister. I really liked that theory.

I was in to the RickEva pairing at first, but after he became her coach they seemed much more like siblings than a couple. I suppose you could say it just depends on how their relationship develops. For example, if she met him when she was 18-early twenties then they would make a great couple. But seeing as she's barely old enough to take Driver's Ed, it was more likely that a sibling and/or father/daughter relationship was likely to occur.
Let's just say they just belong together (in whatever form you feel) and call things peachy.
