Awhile ago, I mentioned that I was planning to do a Nightmare-X pic. Well...Here it is!The original background from Metroid Fusion was completely complicated, so I did a even more better and uncomplicated background for this slime crying mechanoid. I thought this thing was going to be hard to draw out, but surprisingly it wasn't as hard as I thought it would be.
I never really knew that the Nightmare would be so easy to draw. Anyway....Enjoy the pic!

Glad you love this pic. To be honest, it took me days to beat this thing when I first got to it. Its a 'Nightmare'...Maybe that's why its called 'Nightmare-X'.

The first time, this boss are a really nightmare. Really epic this battle.
But somehow, here it looks... sad. I love it. You surprised me again, with the color, the background, details and... Nightmare crying. I don't know why, but really I love it...

I agree with you. Everytime I tried to take this monster down the first time, I end up killed and begin cussing at the GBA. (No lie about that.)
In Fusion, The Nightmare activates the turbine to manipulate gravity after you apply the first damege to the turbine. If you hit it further with the plasma beam alone, the slime will leak out of the eye areas, like it is crying.
The Nightmare is like a monster and very hostile around any life near, and the background surely matches this trait. Glad you found it Epic!

Aww. Thnx. That was my reaction too when the Nightmare began to cry when I first got to that part. I was like, "WTF?? Is it crying??"
As soon as the mask blew off after the Turbine goes 'boom!', I saw its face and went "WTF!? Ewwww.." I'm thinking about another Nightmare pic with its ugly face shown.
Either on Paint or paper, I don't know so far.

Seriously, that was my reaction to that monster's face. It was ugly! It'd be hilarious if someone did a 'Yo mamma' joke involving the Nightmare.
Yeah..I should do another Nightmare-X pic on paper, in case if I mess up, I'll be able to fix it quickly. I have a skill with paper.

Nightmare's very easy to draw but VERY fun to draw as well, and you handled the little cutie wonderfully!!!! GOD I love Nightmare.... Easily one of the best if not THE best boss battle in Fusion. I love your background in this by the way!!! The broken computer terminals look freaking AWESOME and the shattered glass is a totally awesome reference, all in all fanTASTIC job and as for the slime? THANK YOU!!!

Thnx! Wow, you like this boss. I'm glad you like this pic, it took me a day and hours to put this together. I was going to use the background in Fusion, but it was too complicated. It'd take forever with that kind of background to get done, so I came up with my own design of background.
Since the Nightmare is a weapon made for the GF and its hostile to any lifeform, this background matches up to this personally. Its crying slime in the pic, as if either draining the excess buildup under the faceplate, or because its turbine is getting damaged. Thnx for luving it!

I'm not that far in MOM yet. I'm still in the begining parts. I read about that on a website and was shocked. If I have to use the same way like in Fusion to fight it, I'm not sure if I can do it.

My fave thing about this is the leaking slime from under his face-shield.

Its a classic thing about the Nightmare-X, it 'cries' slime when you damage its turbine.
I wasn't originally going to add the slime effect, but then I thought, 'It wouldn't look really cool without the slime.' and so I did.
Glad you love this pic and happy the slime part was a fav.

I'm a big Metroid fan myself. Ever since I got the SNES and Super Metroid, I was hooked since day 1. Its an amazing series.

But my first experience with the coolest gaming character ever was while playing Super Smash Bros. Melee. I loved the orange armored person, the fighting style, everything. And so my fanhood began.

Samus is one tough fighter. Even if she is out numbered, she will always hold up in battle. That's how tough Samus is. She is definately my fav character.
