Description
So hooray this is finally done! It's taken a span of about 6 days, but that's because I have no talent and procrastinate a lot...I was inspired to make this after reading Homestuck (www.mspaintadventures.com/?s=6β¦ this page to be exact) and Vriska says the line, "You don't have to 8e a good person to 8e a hero" and I don't know why but it just struck me as odd. Maybe it's because hero's are often portrayed good-hearted people who are selfless and kind. Vriska on the other hand isn't, but she proves you CAN be a hero despite having your flaws. I felt pretty awed by it and the lesson it taught and thought of other Homestuck characters have taught me. Soon it turned into me doing the trolls, and then EcstaticSanss got involved and it turned into the beta trolls and the humans.
Thanks to for coming up with; Nepeta's, Sollux's, John's, Roxy's, Dirk's, and Dave's! She's amazing and I didn't even ask her to help! <>
I hope I did this justice! I tried to make the characters in different poses, I'm not sure if I screwed up or did well? Anyways I think my favorites are;
"You don't have to 8e the 8est person to 8e a hero"
"You Are Beautiful AND Dangerous"
"sOmEtImEs YoU dO bAd ThInGs BuT tHaT dOeSnT mEaN yOuRe A bAd PeRsOn"
Next project: John in a pikachu onesie as requested by my brother.
Characters belong to the amazing devil Andrew Hussie.

Yeah, with his strength, temper and signs of caring for even the "lowbloods", he had a lot of potential. And, oddly, I don't really mind his fetish for Musclebeasts.

He really did. He was never a ruthless killer, he was just a kid who's brain had been hammered with the hemospectrum probably all his life. Even so he still cared about others and there was even a small part of him that didn't care for the blood color business. His temper and strength were interesting. His fetish for musclebeasts was...strange, but then again everyone Β has the things that are weird that they take a liking to.
Also thank you for the watch! ^u^

You're welcome.
The main thing I'd have done to develop him is have him calm down. He can't calm himself, thus his strength is not under his control when he needs it to be. As for his fetishes, who am I to judge?

QueenPeaceKitty In reply to Drakohahn [2016-07-18 02:31:41 +0000 UTC]
^u^
Yes, it'd have shown lots off development. Β It'd be nice if he'd have lived and we'd have to see him try to go on without Nepeta and dealing with his rage by himself. It'd be sad to see him so hurt and without his best friend, but it'd be nice seeing him deal with his anger solely. Oh well, maybe in some doomed timeline he managed to control himself.
Same, I don't really have any fetishes, but if he/anyone else does, it doesn't matter!Β

Yeah, though they are sad, doomed timelines would be a good way to see what could have been.
As far as I can tell, everyone has a fetish... some are just considered more normal than others. *shrug* it's not a big deal, usually.

QueenPeaceKitty In reply to Drakohahn [2016-07-18 03:06:26 +0000 UTC]
Yes. I find it sad that even timelines with the most developed trolls end in failure. But I do like the timeline concept, making it so basically every single ship can be cannon in some form. Good on Hussie's part, makes all the shippers feel better to know their favorite ships could come true in a distant timeline.
Yes, everyone has some sort of thing that they have a fetish for, some are just less extreme. Yep, people can like what they want, and it should just be put up with. Though, sadly the world can be an angry, hateful place.

Drakohahn In reply to QueenPeaceKitty [2016-07-18 03:11:47 +0000 UTC]
It's not so much that they ended in failure, so much as they weren't the path that the Alpha Timeline wanted events to take. Because if events didn't happen as they did, then there'd be Paradox
The world itself as a whole is uncaring to the individual person... which itself can be worse.

QueenPeaceKitty In reply to Drakohahn [2016-07-18 03:16:57 +0000 UTC]
Ahh yes true. Thanks for correcting that. It's a bit of a strange concept still.
Very true. Luckily there are nice people out there who can overlook something that others judge. The world as a whole is cruel with it's standards, but there are individuals who are good and make the dark place a little brighter.

Settings like Homestuck, where Fate is practically unavoidable... it is a very strange concept to us, yes.
And with some luck, we can continue to make it better.

I think fate will always be a strange thing to attempt to understand. I doubt we'll ever understand, heck we barely understand the simpler stuff.
Yes, with even our small positive actions we can make the world a better place.

Fate and Free Will... That debate will last forever.
And that is what we should do.

QueenPeaceKitty In reply to Drakohahn [2016-07-18 03:50:28 +0000 UTC]
Basically, and maybe that's the fun part, that we'll never understand.
Yes, everyone should just make a small attempt to be a kind and more accepting person. The world can be better if we all try.

Some things are just beyond science as we understand it.
And yes, if we try.

Yes, and they'll stay that way forever. People can come up with a reasonable guess but it may never be truly proven.
Haha, hopefully more people will begin trying.

Ya know, since starting that "refresher course", I've been wondering what kind of story we would get if John, Dave, Rose and Jade weren't involved in all of that Paradox Space BS that tied them to the Trolls and the Post-Scratch session. If they were just allowed to play Sburb normally.

QueenPeaceKitty In reply to Drakohahn [2016-07-19 03:58:31 +0000 UTC]
So I'm not the only one! I feel like maybe, just maybe if the kids haven't gotten themselves involved (and caused Jack to being basically a god) the trolls had a chance to really win. They would have claimed the reward and all managed to make it through this game alive. They'd all have gotten a far-less dangerous life. But that's just my theory, I could be completely wrong!

Drakohahn In reply to QueenPeaceKitty [2016-07-20 01:50:52 +0000 UTC]
Yeah, it's kinda hard to blame the kids for what happened when it ended up originating in the Trolls session. Which is really just another way Doc Scratch's meddling caused everything to get screwed over for the Trolls.
π: 0 β©: 1
QueenPeaceKitty In reply to Drakohahn [2016-07-20 05:24:26 +0000 UTC]
It really is hard to pin it. To be honest it was probably a combination of forces working against them. Doc Β Scratch is surely a force that was largely involved in it all. His meddling was used to help get Lord English into the world (I may be wrong, so many confusing points in Homestuck), which screwed them all over more. I feel bad for the trolls, the forces were all working against them, they were almost doomed from the start.

Drakohahn In reply to QueenPeaceKitty [2016-07-20 05:27:49 +0000 UTC]
By the laws of Paradox Space and doomed timeline, they were doomed from the start; Trolls and Kids alike! It was only John gaining the power to alter Paradox Space that they finally succeeded and got their happy endings!

QueenPeaceKitty In reply to Drakohahn [2016-07-21 10:40:29 +0000 UTC]
Yes. It's quite nice they finally got (well get for me since I'm still savoring the adventure) a happy ending.

Interestingly, John just asked Terezi to give him a way to make the journey close enough to the original but still give them a path to victory.
Makes me wonder how things would have turned out if he had asked for the best possible outcome for all the trolls and kids involved.
π: 0 β©: 1
QueenPeaceKitty In reply to Drakohahn [2016-07-22 22:06:07 +0000 UTC]
It certainly is interesting to think about it. Quite possibly there was a way for all of the trolls to possibly be saved from their doom, or at least save more of them, though it might have had an unfortunate outcome. On the other hand it could have had a favorable outcome. Β A little bit of me sort of hopes that maybe, there was a way for them all to be saved? There might not have been but I guess I can always dream. Haha!
π: 0 β©: 1
Drakohahn In reply to QueenPeaceKitty [2016-07-22 22:46:01 +0000 UTC]
The easiest way to save them would be keep them away from Doc Scratch's manipulations as he was directly responsible for how the Trolls turned out in Alternia.
π: 0 β©: 1
QueenPeaceKitty In reply to Drakohahn [2016-07-23 08:44:50 +0000 UTC]
Yes, he really did screw up their society. Beforean society surely wasn't as great, but at least it wasn't so violent and deadly as compared to Alternia. Though maybe they did need the violent society to ready them for the game? Or maybe the Alpha trolls just WEREN'T good enough. If Doc Scratch had stayed away from the protagonists much could have been stopped for sure though.
π: 0 β©: 1
Drakohahn In reply to QueenPeaceKitty [2016-07-23 17:09:44 +0000 UTC]
The Alternian trolls were decent at fighting, but not much else. Sure, they did technically win their session, but with all the mistakes that they made, it came back to bite them as they didn't do things properly. This affected the kids' session and... yeah, it's all a freaking mess.
Still, they had good times and managed to get the win in the end.

QueenPeaceKitty In reply to Drakohahn [2016-08-02 05:12:08 +0000 UTC]
Yes, I have to agree. They were more aggressive, which was helpful, but they were a little over-the-top. They often choose violence over a more peaceful route, and it bit them in the butt at points. Instead of handling 'enemies', they merely slayed them without reason. It was a HUGE mess. It did work out though.
Yes, and I guess that's what counts. They fought, had good and bad times, and got an ending they deserved.
(Sorry this is like a week later! I was gone for a while and then life happened and this has been sitting at the bottom of my reply stacks)
