Description
ninja turtles in 1987 in comparison to those of 2003. In my opinion I love both series, the first because obviously part of my childhood, the second because it has a whole new style and adventurous (just because it follows the original storyline of the comic).

Perfectly in my opinion.

2k3 ftw! I grew up watching 2003, it became part of my life. A small part but still. I personally don't really like 1987 as much and I really only watch it because the Shredder's so funny
Besides, 2k3 Raphael is badass and COMPLETELY SEXY whereas the 87 Raph is just...not...I mean, I don't want to dis him but I just don't like the 87 dudes nearly as much as my dearest 2k3. 1987 guys just...aren't my type.

2k3 Rules! More in line with the original intent of the creators - dark, gritty and tough!

87, totally! Nothing beats Eighties stuff. I mean, look at Transformers. The movies will never be as good as the animated version (and movie) of the eighties.

Hmm, I wanna see some more ninja turtles now. I remember a time when they were actually banned from Australian television in 88 'cause they were too violent. They do the same to Simpsons for too many sexual references these days, some episodes being cut short. We even have some stupid ban on R18+ rated games, and Left 4 Dead 2 feels pretty hollow when you see zombies running out of fire flailing, but not burning, and you think to yourself "I THINK they're on fire".
Stupid government. I'm smart enough to know what's real and what's not.

On the other hand we Australians were never denied Michaelangello with nunchucku like England was. They even edited out the scene in 'Secret of the Ooz' where he uses the sausage strings as improv chucks.
It's not that hard to get an NTSC chip and import a stack of games from yankeeland.
What amuses me is that our drinking age is three years earlier than America's, like alcohol is somehow better than violence...

Yeah, I know. It's odd.
Mum and I were talking about something like this a while ago, actually. Americans can drive at 16 and drink at 21, and look at us. Everything at 18. In most mindsets, I'd be trying everything new and available at once. Myself, though, I was driving at 19 and didn't touch the piss until 21... and I didn't even like it either. So, compared to the rest of my university mates, I'd save hundreds a year, that they'd spend on drink.

Allowed to drink might not be the best way of putting it, but my parents had allowed me to sample alcohols on special occasions by twelve.
Funny thing is I've only been drunk twice, my older sister slipped me a 'funky mickey' on my 18th birthday and I got the traditional vodka shot after my blackbelt grading...dehydration, exhaustion, adrenaline, pain and an empty stomach do not mix well with alcohol.
I'd raced a car by thirteen, off-road rally(You can race as soon as you can reach the pedals properly).
I don't save any money at university, I'm paying for the course up front each year.

I see. Yeah, mum said she'd have loved to let us grow up on a farm where we could learn to drive earlier, but I like my half-half life. Bendigo's a large town, but still rural.
Ah, up front you say? Bugger that. XD I probably won't ever earn enough to pay back my debts. I wanna get into writing. I've been writing for eleven years, and starting a course at TAFE to help with that. And my current job? Conservation Volunteers. Its reward isn't monetary. ^^

I live in the Hunter Valley, it's kind of a rural hemisphere surrounding Newcastle, so dirt tracks aren't hard to find.
Yeah, I do charity work for a branch of Dads in Distress, why? Cause my karate sensei threatened to beat me into paste if I didn't...and all the other higher grades had already joined.
