This picture s just a theory I have:In the last episode you can see Pyrrha walking into an elevator while Ozpin speaks about the chosen guardian.
And because of thatΒ malicious little smile, which doesn't fit with Pyrrha, I think that the Pyrrha we see there is actually Neopolitan.

That's the question. Maybe she concentrates on her next battle and is distracted by that or she didn't get Ozpins call because Cinder wiretapped them or something.
Worst case: they kidnapped her while she was sleeping (not very likely^^)
Perhaps the real Pyrrha IS the guardian but Neo knows that and she draws the profit from it.

I noticed Pyrrha's strange smirk, which doesn't fit her at all.
My theory is that not Pyrrha, but indeed Neo is the one that stepped into the elevator.

I think Neo has an illusion semblance, but I don't think she can do everything she wants to. Stuff with light, flash, maybe changing her hair color and eyes color, short illusion like in the Yang vs Neo, but that's all. Plus, I don't think she can change her size, and she is very, very small, and Pyrrha is tall. And the shapeshifting we saw in the CY/ME fight, my guessing is on Emerald with a shapeshift semblance (because she used a bit of aura but not so much and we saw the board after Coco sax the fake Yatsuhashi)
Plus Pyrrha already had this kind of smile, one time when Jaune accept to be trained by her (but the focus is on Jaune even if Pyrrha is in the foreground, and I don't think her expression stay the same as long as this one, in the end of the last episode), and another one, if I remember right, when Pyrrha find Jaune in the emerald forest (but again a short time on screen I guess)
And I don't think Ozpin can be fooled so easily xD I mean, this guy seems to know almost everything about his students' activities, at least...
My guess, it's Pyrrha, but she will fail. (Because she needs a failure in her story. She has always won all her fight in her life, it's time for her to have her first defeat. And why not a big one where she's supposed to be the hero of the poeple)

In the fight with Emerald, and Coco that was actually was Neo's doing if you don't believe me re-watch it, and you will see for yourself that Neo is the one that ran in the bushes it is blurred, but you can see her clothes she ran really quickly in the bushes to escape.

That's Emerald not Neo. If you pause and look better, you can see the dark skin, the green hair (which looks grey because dark filter and randering stuff), position of emerald clothes. If you don't believe me, you can even screen and increase the saturation and you'll see Emerald color scheme.Β I saw a satured screenshot maybe I can find it for you

I don't think emerald's semblence is shapeshifting i think she is illusion and neo might have some sort of pigment controlling powers.

If Neo only use her possible semblance to switch the color of her eyes and hair, yeah, it could be pigment controling, but she used illusion when she helped Roman to escape, when she fought against Yang and before disappearing when Raven showed up... And if her semblance is already illusion stuff (maybe linked to light) I don't think that another character has illusion too, or, at least, another character in the ennemies team, it's a little bit too much :/
Even if illusion for Emerald could work because she's supposed to be inspired by Aladin, and the desert, mirage... But semblances are not forced to be linked to the inspiration of the character. Plus, I think the shapeshifting is a good semblance for a thief. Remind me Kaito Kid in Detective Conan who loves to desguise in all kind of people and imitate the voices to approach the thing he want to steal xD

But I think her illusions have to be pretty powerful: When Roman called her to escape from Team Rwby (after they destroyed theΒ Atlesian Paladin) she somehow made an illusion of them (out of glas or whatever) AND somehow they disappeared or became invisible or something.
And it's not only the smile. Her whole bodylanguage and the head tilted forward (just a little bit) seems a little too agressive for the kindhearted Pyrrha.
Also we don't know if the Pyrrha we saw in the episode was the Pyrrha who was with Ozpin. Maybe Neo just heared of Pyrrha being the guardian and then she changed her appearence.Β Perhaps the real Pyrrha IS the guardian but Neo got to know it somehow wants to draw the profit from it.
While Cinder, Emerald and Mercury fought and planned Neo was nowhere to be seen. I'm pretty sure that she didn't just sit around and enjoyed the landscape.

Yeah maybe... I don't really believe in this theory but it's still possible so I keep it in mind xD I may rewatch the ep for the body language of Pyrrha, I'm curious now. But maybe we don't know some part of Pyrrha's personnality. I think she is like we know her, kind, caring, and stuff, but... we all have our flaw.
But I agree for the power of Neo's semblance though. I need to see more screentime with her <3 I think she is in stand by. My guess : She will jail break Roman when he will achieve his purpose in the Ironwood's cell

Illusion, telephathy, that's a lot for one little woman xD She was totally mute for the Vol2 but in the vol3 we can hear some giggles when she crushes the guy with her boot <3 And RWBY crew said she will have (and now she has) a voice actresse so...
