Description
Armoured Fighting Vehicle based on the Soviet Tunguska AA tank. Modelled with Solidworks 2013 and rendered with it's own built in renderer PhotoView 360. As always you will need to zoom in for detail. Yeah I know there's some impractical stuff on the model but it looks cool..The Warmonger was designed to combat the growing threat posed by the ever increasing number of UCAV's implemented on the battle field (specifically large flights of UCAV's). Shortly after the Warmonger's implementation, it was perceived that it was a very effective counter to all lightly armoured units, not only aircraft.
Armament:
2 x 6 Barrel 20 mm Gatling Guns
12 x 90 mm Multipurpose Missiles
1 x .50 cal Roof Mounted GPMG
Depicted here with the armoured cover's removed from the weapon systems.
Warmonger - "An individual who encourages, or advocates, aggression or warfare towards other nations or groups."

What 3D app do you use? Â I'm a freelance modeler and animator. Â I've been a Lightwave user for twenty-five years.

Very cool indeed. Putting gatling guns on tanks is unbelievably hard in my opinion, which really makes this one stand out for me. Also nice to see someone doing tracks the same way I do.

That black "telemetry" device gave some personality to the tank, looks like a head/helmet. Well done.

Awesome design, man. Maybe put in some hardpoints for armor skirts, some metal screens and additional layers of composite armor for increased AT protection. You could totally chuck away than forward viewing window and replace it with external cameras to further reduce the original tunguska's weakpoints, then maybe remodel the hull for a more angular shape to increase its frontline survivability, especially the front and side armors. Also, shaped hulls means no need for cobbling together prefab parts, and no prefab parts means no more rivets or joints that buckle with hit by explosive ordnance. Lastly, the secondary mg next to the top hatch could be replaced by an automated weapon system (hmg/grenade launcher or both) so no one has to risk exposing themselves to enemy fire. Undoubtedly, this'd make the AFV more expensive, but then it will make it more comfortably in a frontline/direct fire support role instead of being stuck in the rear. Nothing like turning those twin gatling cannons on crowded ground forces, especially once you've outfitted them with armor piercing or explosive shrapnel rounds; inevitably turning your foes into charnel and holey wreckages.

You have chosen the right armament combination to shoot-down the hard-to-hit drones!

haha thanks man! it did take many hrs to create. think the camo-less renders were about 15 min or less, the camo renders were slower though, about 1 hr each.

Super pretty from this angle. Is it AA, that's why no main gun?

I like the level of detail you added to this vehicle. I can almost imagine flipping up the engine hatches and looking at the power plant that drives this beast!

haha thanks! it sure took long though phew! some people do keep urging me to do some internal detail at some stage, so one of these days u will be able to flip open the hatch and see the engine.. although i doubt i will do that often.. ^^

Very nice model man!, it would look insane if you could add some scratches and dirt to the texture (can you use textures in solidworks?).
awesome work anyway, the details are superb! Cheers!
