"Galactic Windmill" The weather has been pretty rubbish for star shooting here lately but I figure if you just keep trying eventually your stars shall align (pun intended ) and you'll finally capture some magic... last night was one of those moments when the night was absolutely perfectly clear but when got to the original place I intended to shoot the fog was so thick you could have carved chunks out of it with a knife or taken a spoon and eaten it like ice cream... I was pretty disappointed but rather than giving up and admitting defeat I decided to drive around for a bit and see if I could find a patch of thinner fog, I had almost given up hope when a light breeze kicked up and started dissipating the fog in a cow paddock that had an old windmill in it and I managed to capture a handful of great shots before the fog closed in on me again. And the moral of the story is that I'm really glad I decided to stick around and wait to see if the conditions would get better because it was so worth it
