Description
"Moon Spider" Arachnophobes please look away now!..... because here is an awesome spider about the size of my head, well probably not quite that large but it's outstretched legs would fit across a large butter plate at least. It's called a Golden Orb spider because it spins golden thread and weaves it into its web in a shimmering golden X right into the middle of it's web, I'm not 100% sure why they do this but at least it makes the web easy to spot because there is nothing worse than walking face first into one of this spiders webs as it's super thick and sticky and quite difficult to remove. The spider is completely harmless to humans but if your a large moth or a small bird then watch out because you'll end up as dinner if you blunder into it's mutant golden web, this one's just hanging out in my backyard waiting for dinner.THIS IMAGE IS NOT STOCK! Please do not use for any other purpose other than admiring thank you.

Unfortunately I don't as I didn't have my flash on me at the time and the light was coming from the wrong direction so I just decided to do a silhouette instead and get some nice bokeh for effect, the spider is mainly dark brown and bright yellow. But if your curious you can just Google "Australian Golden Orb spider", don't say I didn't warn you about possibly having nightmares afterwards though LOL.
