Description

Man did this thing come out not how I was expecting it. But I love it anyways because of all the work and planning I put in to it. You have no idea how difficult it was at times to put this thing together.

Overall, I'm happy with it because it's original and different. I can't imagine you've seen anything like this really. So that's a good thing in my opinion. And I did manage to come up with one or two fractals that I really like, and will be uploading seperately in a few hours or so once I give my eyes a break.

If you don't like it, I'm sorry. I know it's tough to look at ... that was sort of the point. This wasn't meant to be pretty by any stretch of the imagination. The true art here is the presentation.

Enjoy, or don't enjoy,

-Brandon

PS ... feel free to give critiques, I will listen and make changes if I deem them to be positive and useful. And of course, comments and 's are always welcome.

Excellent mixing of components. To me, not difficult to view at all; I like a challenge. Fractal art is just like that.

Love the combination, and juxtaposition. While no, it's not an easy quick view, it does draw you in, and make you take a second look. More the achievement, in my eyes at least.

So you did the fracs in UF and then composed this in PS? The reason I ask is because this would be an excellent challenge to do this completely in UF.

Very interesting. Your intent has come across quite well. A definite vision translated into reality. Good job!

quickdraw In reply to sharkrey [2006-09-15 21:57:01 +0000 UTC]

Sadly, I did it all in UF and then organized it in PS.

I just don't have the ability to pull something like this all off in UF alone.

sharkrey In reply to quickdraw [2006-09-15 22:32:30 +0000 UTC]

No..don't say, "sadly"....it would have been a nightmare in UF. I was just wondering. The main thing I'm impressed with is that you had a specific intent and brought it to fruition.

All I used was Ultra Fractal for the fractals, and then Photoshop CS2 for everything else.

Thanks!

Thank you very much, and it was a bit tricky pulling this off. You just need patience to do something like this, that's all really.

It's a very interesting and intriguing concept, and rather well-executed. Overall I like it, although I do agree that purple doesn't look very good. Not because of its colour, but because it doesn't flow well, or really even look like much of a fractal.

quickdraw In reply to rayvinazn [2006-08-15 15:15:19 +0000 UTC]

Yah, I'm thinking of revamping it at some point in time. Some of them do need either replaced or redone.

Aeon-Lord [2006-08-13 13:38:20 +0000 UTC]

I think this is really great. My only problem with it is i think that you should of maybe continued the spiral pattern out until the edge of the picture instead of leave the black. Apart from that it's great, well pulled off.

Another thing i'd suggest is if you're doing this type of thing again work with the spectrum and have the colours go round R O Y G B I V.
