There's a line from an old Charlie Daniels song that goes "They hadn't gone nowhere when they realized they were running in quicksand." It kinda describes their predicament I would say.Elsa (Not to be confused with my lovely Ilsa) and Laurena were running from soldiers through the jungle when their progress was suddenly halted. Their feet pressed easily through the top layer of the halfway sun-baked quicksand.
