Falling up? Well, who is to say fallen angels don't get second chances. I really loved doing the wings, and the background, and her dress. This is all based on the Soundgarden song Black Hole Sun lyrics.In my eyes

This is also my first attempt at photomanipulation. This piece is for an angel contest held by using her stock photos. For the central image in the piece, I used stock photo Heart 2 [link] The deadline for her contest is July 10th, and she is giving away lots of very cool prizes. Yes the bg is the main attraction of it, but I really love the contrast between the dynamic scene of it and the static pose of the character as she was in a limbo of time while everything is falling away!...wow...what a deep interpratation

she looks gorgeous Lisa. I say, how cool would she look in a pic with that horse (pegasus is it?) you did, having similar wings and stuff. they would look neato together

Thanks Jade! I think the muted colors brings out the central image more than the brighter ones do and this is really more what I was striving for. Sort of the hair and the skirt are at odds with one another going in reverse directions and the melting away of black into pristine heavenly white much like her soul in tourmoil. It's funny you should mention that!

Yeah, I really do think the muted colors set off the central image better than the brighter ones do. The dress sort of represents her soul melting away the darkness and coming into the light. The wings were a rainy day adventure. I probably made 50 pair of them all different sizes, shapes, and colors one rainy afternoon. Thanks for the comment !

The way she is taking her steps looks as if they are cautious ones..
Unsure and unsteady is the ground she treads..
The wind swirls about her as if some sort of karma guides her choices..
Swirling winds of course because the hair and dress swooshing in opposite directions..
But it is also possible..
That maybe..
Gravity has taken this angels grace and is turning her..
