I saw it yesterday in the theatre and I had to draw it.. I'm like that.. so yeah, here's yet another pic within the same week. This is a new record, I swear.Also, I'm aware Miyazaki usually puts more detail into his contraptions and backgrounds than he does his characters, so I kind of got more detailed with Howl and Sophie than they usually appear.. oh well.

Howl's moving castle is by far one of my most favourite movies/books.... I absolutely love it.... And I love this picture as well!! So beautiful...... and the sun shinning gives such a romatic feeling.... Instant fave!

Oh, wow, that's really good. I love to draw, but I can never color in the pictures because it ruins the drawing/sketch. I love this one a lot and I must agree, Miyaszaki-san usualy puts more detail in his landscapes than his characters. This is a wonderful piece of work and I love it. Going to my favorites list, it is.

Wow, beautiful job! I especially love how Howl came out! And yeah I agree, Miyazaki sometimes spends more details on the backgrounds than his characters...seems to me sometimes even the character's peronalities. Nevertheless it was a very beautiful movie!

I haven't seen the movie yet, but I've seen a couple of Miyazaki's movies.

How hard? Hard enough I had to redo both of their faces quite a bit. XD It's always hard to draw in another style the first time, though. After you do it a lot you can get right into it (like drawing in the Rumiko Takahashi/Inuyasha style). It's a piece of cake for me now, but not when I started. Thanks!

one question... how do you get the lineart so smooth and thin?

The pen tool in Adobe Photoshop. It's hard to get down initially, and then it's just easy after that.
