Description
Taking a moment from her gathering, Spottedleaf looks up to the churning sky and wonders what omens will befall her clan.I've been wanting to do a picture of Spottedleaf for some time now, and tonight I was in the mood for some interesting fur...so it was perfect timing. This started off with the intention of only being a sketch...buuuut I kind of went over the deep end lol; I'm very happy though.Β Now before anyone complains...tortoiseshells by North American definition generally have NO white on them (those are calicos), so because of that bias this is how she's always been in my mind.
She's also got a few stems of Catmint in her mouth, if your wondering.

^.^ Thankyou. <3 It actually turned out much better than I thought it would. I've got a bunch more photo refs, so i plan on doing a series of these with my fav characters.
Plus I have a love for drawing fur...and her fur is too fun not to.

Thanks! It's definitely one of my favorites. Yeah its interesting how definitions change...I always thought of her as mottled orange and black, but someone mentioned in Europe torties includes calicos, which clears up some of the heated colour wars.

Looking back on my online ref for the pose...she did look kind of maine coonish, so I think your right. If you look up maine coon tortoiseshell...it definitely fits the bill.
